Story
Shorts has garnered a mixed response from the audience. Critics say that this is not for those who want entertainment and masala during their three hours in the theatre. Those who praised it were not looking out for a masala film, but a film that makes them think and feel. Here's what they are saying:

The Times of India
Rating: 2.5
Compilation of five short films helmed by five different directors. To cut it short, this one (co-produced by Anurag Kashyap) is for lovers of pure art-house cinema. 'Shor' (Neeraj) and 'Mehfuz' (Rohit) stand out in this ensemble. In this starkly shocking role, Nawazuddin is brilliant. This one is worth a watch. In this ambiguous story, too much is left to interpretation. Too arty for the soul.

The good news is that Indian short filmmakers are beginning to carve a niche for themselves in an industry that is dominated by Bollywood. The bad news, however, is that the five award-winning films included in Shorts range from breathtaking to borderline bizarre.Shorts comprises of an anthology of the following five unrelated short films produced by Anurag Kashyap's AKFPL and Tumbhi:All in all, Shorts is a welcome change from the usual Friday fare but it isn't quite there yet. Nevertheless, it does leave one with some very powerful images and is worth a shot.
