Priyanka Chopra dons Victoria Beckham’s look




Priyanka Chopra has always belonged to the leaner brigade of actresses of Bollywood. However, since a few months now she has been garnering a lot of attention for her svelte figure.
Priyanka has made her international singing debut with “In My City”. Recently, at its promotional event which was held at Malad, she was spotted wearing a Victoria Beckham figure-hugging dress. Her fashion statement at the event did not get unnoticed and she looked every inch like a diva.
The media stood their gazing at her well-toned hourglass figure with not an inch of fat oozing out. She wore a grey colour pencil fit dress and let her tresses loose that added to her look.
Her album which is to be launched worldwide pretty soon. The very Indian Priyanka Chopra got it launched in her country first. At the event she spoke about her experience of working on the album and also the stress that she had to face while trying to acclimatize her voice according to international standards. Her album features Will.i.am of “Black Eyed Peas” fame.
Her single from the album has already become a hit. Priyanka only hopes that all her soundtracks from the album too goes platinum.
She spoke about her video saying, “I wanted to give it an Indian flavour in terms of dancing. I wanted the world to see what Bollywood is all about.”
She added ” I wanted that the identity of the song should be Indian. I am very India-proud. When people see my video, they must feel that Bollywood is like this.”
Talking about the style incorporated in her video she said, “it`s a fusion and amalgamation which will be enjoyed in west and India.”
She was asked about the controversy surrounding Shah Rukh Khan’s article that got published in “Outlook Turning Points 2013”. To this she said she had no idea about the said controversy however, she subtly supported Shah Rukh saying that people use celebrities to “advance their propagandas”.
Priyanka also said, “I believe that people often use celebrities to advance their propagandas. Celebrities have become a soft target nowadays.”
Also she took a little offence when the media quizzed her a little more about the issue. When asked if she would be involved in more controversies if her surname had been “Khan”. To this she said, “I get into controversies with ‘Chopra’ too. A big deal is being made out of nothing. You should be ashamed to even ask such a question in a country as secular as India.”
