Kajol whose association with Yash Raj banner has been from the days of 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and is very strong has raised many eyebrows with her conspicuous absence from the grand premiere of ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’.
Media and the attendees drew conclusion that Kajol deliberately did not come to the event following the brawl between her husband Ajay Devgn production house and Yash Raj banner. But it was totally wrong. Kajol did not skip the event but the actual fact is that she was not invited to the grand premiere.
Now the big question that rises up is why. ‘Son Of Sardarar’ release date clashed with Yash Chopra’s ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’. Ajay ahead of the film release and just few days after the demise of filmmaker Yash Chopra slapped a legal notice to Yash Raj Films for influencing distributor and acquiring maximum single screens and multiplex and leaving few theaters for his film. Kajol’s absence from the premiere has been liked up to this issue but Ajay who is basking in the joy of his latest film, ‘Son Of Sardar’ divulged that Kajol was not invited to the premiere.
Ajay says, "Kajol was not invited for the premiere of Jab Tak Hai Jaan which I feel is very petty. This shows the pettiness of someone else."
Ajay is planning a grand bash to celebrate the success of SOS. The box office collection of the film has been marvelous and is picking up fast with every passing day. His film gave a tough competition to highly anticipated Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’. The film collected approximately Rs 76 crore at the box office in just eight days.
"I had confidence in my product and I had faith in right and wrong. I knew I was right. I knew that eventually I will get what I deserve," said Ajay Devgn.
The actor said, "The collections have been extraordinary and they are extraordinary in the weekdays. The second week is also going to be fabulous with 300 more screens. I am thrilled."
