The celebrity couple Saif Ali Khan (42) and Kareena Kapoor (32) has been stirring the waves in the News Channels across the globe with their wedding act for quite some time.
The colors of royalty and nobility splashed into the wedding reception of the couple. Their Wedding reception was one grand event that took the guests back to the era where Kings, Queens, Nawabs and Begums dwelled the hearts of their people.
Call it the wedding theme or the impact of the royal lineage that Saif Ali Khan and his Family carry, the event in itself was breathtaking and it did not let the guests miss out on the Royal treatment that the Pataudi family had to offer.
Noted Personalities were the guests of the evening, looking their best and stunning in sherwanis, Ghagras, lehangas and sarees. Prime MinisterManmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur and Rahul Gandhi were seen along the line in the guest list. This Wedding reception saw politics and Bollywood merging and coming together to celebrate. The place with it music and ambience was more like a splash of colors and glitters, dripping royalty from every corner.
The Pataudis picked up their age old property on the Aurangzeb road in Delhi as the venue and decked it up in majestic maroon and luscious cream using beautiful gorgeous old carpets, earthen Chandeliers, soft lights and white flowers to get the look and feel that of a royal court.
The description of any Indian Wedding can never be complete without mentioning the sumptuous food that goes into making the guest’s time a memorable and a tasty one. Since everything at the wedding reception of the star couple was royal and majestic, so was the food. The gourmet was a spread from across the country and the best of the delicacies served to the guests. Those who were fasting due to the navratris were taken special care of and delicious delicacies were cooked specially for them without onions.
Since during the navratris people refrain from having onions and this reflected the amount of care that went in executing this grand and splendid event.
The Wide spread of food did leave the guest wanting more but with little space in their tummy. The gala evening was hosted by none other than the ever charming Sharmila Tagore, Saif Ali Khan’s mother and the Begum of Pataudi.
