After five days long hectic wedding schedule, the new begum of Pataudi’s family Kareena Kapoor Khan reached her sasural, the Ibrahim palace. Kareena reached Ibrahim Palace on Friday, informs a relative.
Ibrahim Palace is Saif`s ancestral home which is 26 km from Delhi. Saif and Kareena had a registry marriage on October 16thfollowed by a grand reception in Mumbai. The next day, the newly weds flew down to Delhi where a grand Walima was held. From there, they headed to the Ibrahim palace where a a traditional family feast has been organized.
Sharmila Tagore reached the mansion in the morning while Saif’s daughter Sarah and sister Soha accompanied the bride and the groom later.
From Oct 1, Pataudi Palace was being run by Neemrana Hotels. Due to the wedding, all the booking has been put on hold and since then Sharmila has been visiting the mansion almost regularly.
Few relatives from Pakistan who arrived in India for the wedding on Thursday has been put at the Pataudi Palace. The family will stay there till Saturday.
After the death of Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi last year, his son Saif was anointed as the 10th nawab of Pataudi by the heads and prominent figures of 52 villages of the area. But none of them were invited for the Friday function. Since morning, the locals were seen surrounded the palace to get a glimpse of the Nawab and his new begum but due to high security, their attempt failed.
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi who died in New Delhi on September 22nd, 2011 has been buried in the palace compound along with his forefathers.
