Anurag Kashyap patch-up with Big B

Bollywood is well accustomed with skirmishes, brawls and fighting amongst its celebrities. It is nothing new in the history of the tinsel town. However, what is new is the current trend of making up and burying the hatchet. It is a healthy practice never the less.
New to join the band wagon is Anurag Kashyap. It is a rather long story and believe it or not, he chose to pick up Big B for poking. Amitabh Bachchan is well respected in the film industry and is known for his gentle behavior. He can be termed as the loving gentleman of the tinsel town. The living legend though didn’t react to the comments of Anurag Kashyap, his ardent fans and industry colleagues surely raised their voices in protest.

Anurag had said that Amitabh Bachchan should stop working and retire from the film industry. This degrading comment drew flak from Ram Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gopal Varma, Balki, Madhur Bhandarkar, Farhan Akhtar and other eminent personalities. And rightfully so. After this incident, Anurag decided to maintain a distance from Amitabh Bachchan.

However recent success has certainly changed Anurag Kashyap. Both his films ‘Gangs of Wasseypur first and second edition’ has earned praise from the critics and the movie fans alike. The box office returns are excellent for both the movies and Anurag is a rich man. It seems Anurag wishes to make up now with the big man of Bollywood, after all these years.

Anurag claims that he met Big B recently and buried all the differences. It is peace between them two, now. The recent Tweet from Anurag on this issue reads “Finally met Big B after 13 years of silence and angst and sorted everything. Now to make a film with him someday #dreamcometrue#(sic).”

It is no doubt a good move on Anurag’s part. We wonder though, whether an Anurag Kashyap movie is on the cards with Amitabh Bachchan playing a meaty a role in it! It is time that will reveal the answer.

We salute Big B for his amicable ways and to let Anurag make amends. Big B being a stalwart in the Hindi film industry doesn’t need to prove anything to the world but Anurag has a loooong way to go, to get established in Bollywood. Therefore, it is in his best interest to get and use the charisma of Big B in his movies, to achieve success.
